For outpatient practices that run sedation
Your case day, covered.
Find a mobile anesthesia provider for the date you've already scheduled — with their credentials and expiry dates on file before they walk in.
Deliver anesthesia? List your availability — free
Right now, finding coverage means hoping someone texts back.
You've got a case day on the calendar. Four patients, cleared for NPO, rides arranged, a day of work taken off for each of them.
Then your anesthesia provider cancels.
So you text the one other person you know. They're booked. You ask around your peer network. Somebody suggests a name you've never worked with — and now you're chasing a state permit, a DEA registration, an ACLS card, and a certificate of insurance by email, two days before the case.
Or you move the day, and call four families.
What Synapses does
A better way to cover the day.
See who's actually free
Search by credential, location, and date. Filter by radius so you only see providers who'll realistically drive to you. Availability comes from their live calendar — not a "let me check and get back to you."
Know before they arrive
Every provider's credentials sit on their profile with expiry dates attached — licenses, permits, certifications, insurance. Synapses flags them before they lapse.
You confirm each provider meets your state's requirements. We make the documents easy to find.
One flat fee. Never a percentage.
Agencies take a cut of every hour your provider works. Synapses charges one flat fee per booking, shown to you before you confirm. A higher day rate doesn't cost you more.
Post it and let them come to you
Need a stretch of dates or a recurring arrangement? Post the case day. Providers apply with a form built for their specialty — then you filter by the answers, not by reading twenty applications.
It runs itself
Confirmations, 24-hour reminders, reschedule requests, invoices, and a full record of every booking. The coordination happens whether or not you're thinking about it.
Two paths
Book someone, or post the day.
Two routes to the same outcome. Use whichever fits the job — both are open to every account.
When you know the date and want it settled today
Search by credential, date, and distance. Pick a real slot from a real calendar. See your fee, confirm, done — usually under five minutes.
Good for: a single case day · a last-minute cancellation · a provider you've worked with before
When you need a stretch of dates, or want to compare people
Post it with your specialty's job form. Providers apply with a matching structured form. Then filter the applicants by their answers — shortlist, message, and hire in one pipeline.
Good for: recurring coverage · multiple dates · a role you want to compare candidates for
Without opening a single application
How it works
Three steps. Usually under five minutes.
Post or book a date
Enter your case date, the credential you need, and how far you're willing to look. You'll see real availability, real distance, real rates.
3 providers match — sorted by distance
Check the profile
Credentials with expiry dates. Ratings from other practices. A record of completed and cancelled cases. Message them first if you want to talk it through.
Book it
Pick the slot, see your fee before you confirm, and it's done. Both of you get a confirmation and a reminder before the case.
Figures shown are illustrative. Synapses stores credential documents and tracks expiry dates — it does not verify credentials with issuing authorities or determine whether a provider meets your state's requirements.
Pricing
Agencies charge a percentage. We don't.
When a staffing agency places a provider, they take a cut of what that provider earns — every hour, every case, every time. The better your provider, the more you pay for the privilege.
Synapses charges one flat fee per booking. You see it before you confirm. It doesn't scale with the rate, the length of the day, or how many cases you run.
Browsing, posting and applying are all free. You only pay when a booking actually happens.
Proportions illustrative — final fee pending.
For anesthesia providers
Deliver anesthesia? Your open days are invisible.
You built your book on word of mouth, and it took years. Meanwhile the offices twelve minutes away don't know you exist, and your Thursdays are empty.
- You set the rates. Hourly, half day, full day, per session, weekend and holiday. We never negotiate them or take a percentage.
- Your credentials, sent once. Upload licenses, permits, and certifications once. We'll remind you before any of them expire.
- You control the rules. Radius, notice period, daily caps, buffer time between cases, and approval before anything books.
- Paid without chasing. Payment runs through the platform. Invoices and history in one place.
One account
Most people here are on both sides.
An anesthesiologist gets booked by a dermatology clinic on Thursday — and posts for a surgical assistant for Tuesday's case day. An oral surgery practice books anesthesia and offers its own services.
Synapses doesn't make you pick. Turn on the other side whenever you need it, and keep one credential file, one calendar, one payment history, and one login.
- Add the other side in one click. No second account, no separate profile to maintain.
- Every specialty works either way. The categories aren't split into buyers and sellers.
- Switch context freely. Act as yourself, or as any organization you own.
One account, both directions — illustrative
Trust & safety
Built for the part that carries risk.
Verified contact details
Every account verifies both an email address and a phone number before it can book or be booked.
Two-step sign-in
Optional one-time codes at login, with trusted devices so you're not entering a code every day.
Credentials with expiry dates
Documents on file, with automatic alerts before anything lapses — so nothing expires quietly.
Two-sided reviews
Practices rate providers. Providers rate practices. Both after the fact, and never yourself.
Reliability on the record
Completed and cancelled counts sit on every profile. No quiet no-shows.
A full audit trail
Every booking, change, cancellation, and reschedule is recorded with who did it and when.
Why we built it
Built on Trust.
Powered by Reputation.
Synapses was designed around how office-based anesthesia actually runs: case days booked weeks out, providers covering a dozen offices across a metro, and credential files that have to be right before anyone walks in.
That's why credentials carry expiry dates instead of just sitting in an email thread. It's why reviews go both directions. It's why cancellations are attributed rather than quietly absorbed. And it's why the fee is flat — because taking a percentage of a clinician's day rate isn't a partnership, it's a toll.
Section reserved for practice testimonials. Per the content strategy, this space stays as-is until real, named, consenting practices are available — placeholder social proof is not worth the credibility it costs with a clinical audience.
Your next case day doesn't have to depend on one person's reply.
Book a provider directly, or post the case day and let them come to you. Both are open to every account.
