Reminders & reschedules
Nobody forgets. Nothing goes silent.
Both sides get a confirmation when the booking is made, and a reminder 24 hours before the case.
If something has to move, the reschedule goes through the platform: one side proposes a new time with a reason, the other approves or declines with a comment, and the whole exchange is on the record. You can set a cutoff so nobody can reschedule once the case is close.
If a booking is cancelled, that's recorded too — with who cancelled it and when. It shows up on their profile.
Credential confidence
Check the paperwork days ahead, not in the parking lot.
Licenses, state permits, certifications, and insurance sit on the provider's profile with their expiry dates attached. Synapses alerts the provider before anything lapses — and you can see the dates yourself, any time.

What practices ask first.
Every profile carries a rating and review count from other practices, a completed-case history, and a cancellation record. Reviews only unlock after the booking date has passed, and nobody can review themselves. You can also message a provider before you commit to anything.
Every document on a profile carries its expiry date, and the provider is alerted before anything lapses. You can see those dates yourself at any point. Synapses does not verify credentials with issuing authorities — confirming a provider meets your state's requirements stays your call, and we make the documents easy to find so you can make it.
Searching and browsing is free and doesn't need an account. When a booking is confirmed, Synapses charges one flat fee — a fixed amount, not a percentage of the provider's rate — and it's shown on screen before you confirm. Full pricing here.
Cancellations are recorded with who cancelled and when, and they show on the provider's profile alongside their completed-case count. Reschedules run through a structured request-and-approve flow rather than a phone call, and you can set a cutoff so nobody can move a booking once the case is close.
Good — keep them. Synapses is most useful as the bench behind that person: for when they're already booked, out sick, on vacation, or when your volume outgrows one provider. You can also invite them to join, so your existing arrangement runs through the same calendar and paperwork as everything else.
